


The Casting Office seeks a volunteer to assist in digitizing the casting office. This is a great opportunity for those looking for experience in casting and familiarity with the DC Theatre Community.
Duties May Include:
- Scanning Headshots/Resumes
- Organizing Actor Files

Hours are fixed on an individual basis, depending on the availability of the volunteer and the needs of the department. Volunteers must be able to work during business hours, which are Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm.

The Literary Department seeks a Dramaturgy volunteer. This is a great opportunity for professional training for those interested in a career in Dramaturgy.
Duties May Include:
- Discuss and pursue with the Production Dramaturg research for Arena Stage productions.
- Do Season Planning Research.
- Xerox scripts and research materials.
- Help the Dramaturg and Allen Lee Hughes Fellow to compile and put together the Research Packets.
- Word process playwright correspondence for acknowledgment and return letters on scripts and inquiry letters.
- Attend rehearsals for productions.
- Read scripts and write reports to be discussed with the Allen Lee Hughes Fellow.
- Pick Up and Return of Library Books, Videos, CD’s.
- Work on research for one or two theater productions.
Time Commitment:
- Hours will be fixed on an individual basis, depending on the availability of the volunteer and the needs of the department. However, a set schedule (Thursdays, all day or Monday and Wednesday mornings) is required.
- The volunteer may be asked to come in on additional days, but that will be agreed upon by both the volunteer and the department (and usually only for an urgent project).

The Group Sales Department is seeking an Audience Development volunteer, open to flexible hours and scheduling. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time volunteer work or someone interested in pursuing a career in sales, marketing, or audience development.
Duties may include:
- internet research
- creating and maintaining excel databases
- working with ticketing software
- conducting mail merges
- assisting with mass mailings
- distributing materials at exhibits and events.

Be on-call for labeling, envelope stuffing, filing, and other clerical tasks for our administrative offices. Fridays,10:00am-12:00pm as needed.
